As a fiduciary, investment advisers must make full and fair disclosure of all material facts and you must eliminate, or at least disclose, all conflicts of interest. Disclosure of all fees and expenses a client may incur as well as what conflicts of interest exist resulting from the fees and expenses is required in the Form ADV. During this webinar, RIA Compliance Consultants will discuss the importance of providing full, clear, and accurate disclosures regarding fees and expenses and the conflict of interest that are related to the investment advisory fees or other expenses that a client may incur. Our consultants will discuss the recent SEC Risk Alert, “Overview of the Most Frequent Advisory Fee and Expense Compliance Issues Identified in Examinations of Investment Advisers,” as well as investment adviser enforcement actions related to fees and expenses. Additionally, we will offer best practice tips for investment advisers to comply with fee and expense disclosure requirements.
